“It is so important for parents to read this book. It is, in fact, necessary. And I’m thinking of all the daughters who need to see these words now. Right now. There’s no time to wait.”
-a daughter of the King
The world doesn’t wait for girls to grow up. Young women are enduring abuse, sexual trauma, and other forms of harm at alarming rates while discussions of these topics are put off for an “appropriate” time, which can easily turn into never.
Our daughters deserve better. They deserve guidance for the dangers ahead and healing for the wounds they already carry. They deserve to know their value and their worth and that nothing can separate them from God’s love. They deserve safe places to turn to where they’ll be believed and supported. As parents and allies, it’s our responsibility to give them these things.
Daughter of the King is a collection of stories, wisdom, warnings, advice, encouragement, and hope from a village of women sharing what they wish their younger selves had been told.
There’s no time to wait.

“Reading Daughter of the King is like reading a diary. Emberger has carefully sewn together so many different voices in a chorus of encouragement. Even his writing process has bound together people of all backgrounds as a wonderful example of how we as Christians are called to come together to disciple the next generation.”

Reviews and Endorsements
“I want to pass this book out to every abused, neglected, downtrodden, low self esteem woman I see!!! What gets better than a man (Emberger) showing empathy and compassion for women he doesn’t even know? Every woman has a slightly different story, but the sad reality is that so many of us never heard the words or felt the love we needed from our fathers when we most needed it. Our heavenly Father wants to change that narrative in our hearts and minds.”

“This book was important to me and strengthened my resolve to help survivors of sexual assault, as well as abuse. It also stirred a part of me that wants to open up conversations with mothers of daughters. I want to ask them whether they think about these things and whether they believe in their own power. I would like to empower them to feel comfortable reading this book with their daughters when they are ready.”

“Daughter of the King is more than a collection of stories, it’s a voice rising against silence. Every page carries courage, compassion, and truth. The honesty of the contributors reminds us that awareness and empathy are not optional if we want to protect the next generation.
This book speaks to both parents and allies, anyone who believes our daughters deserve to feel safe, valued, and unashamed of their voices. It’s both heartbreaking and hopeful, calling us to listen more deeply and love more bravely.
A must-read for every parent, teacher, and advocate. There’s truly no time to wait.”
